what is toybox funhouse? (game-wise)

toybox funhouse (shortened as "TBFH") is a currently in-dev roblox game, created by basiltaztic and in-development by z-studi0z.
from the information we currently have, toybox funhouse is a multiplayer survival-horror game with task and combat-based gameplay. the main gamemode is story mode, where 4-6 players join and go through 10 different floors, culminating in a boss fight at the end. some of the floors will be random, but some will have set fights and even cutscenes. there may also be a boss mode in the future, where you go through a series of increasingly difficult boss battles, which you can get extra badges for!
there are four categories of playable characters; those being actioneers, remainers, healers, and support. they each play their own roles to help the team.
you'll be collecting tickets to buy more advanced characters and perks, research to give insight on the past of the characters and the funhouse, and badges to show off your achievements!

important terms: toys: the base version of all of the playable characters, living, life sized toys. fractureds: broken down versions of the toys that have grown violent after the shutdown of the funhouse with the lack of people and maintenance. these are the versions you fight against in-game, and the canonical endgame for the characters.
everything written on this page is also subject to change as the game develops/releases, and currently we only know bits and pieces of it. some information may also be incorrect/missing due to the current scattered nature of the lore. sorry!
the funhouse was created by rebecca williams and charles holt. solar and lunar, the stars of the show, were made in 1984, and it's assumed the funhouse opened sometime after this in the 90s or first few years of the 2000s.
based on the ages of the owners we're given, the funhouse was open for 25 years, and the game takes place 15 years after the shutdown. in this time period, solar— from within the funhouse— makes an attempt to open the funhouse back up to the public for a second chance in the spotlight.
it was also said that charles' son charlie had brought the new party pack (party, wraps and cotton) to life in an attempt to find out the secrets of the funhouse since it's closing, but i haven't been able to find public evidence of this since, so it's possible it's been retconned.
there are/were a total of 29 toys in the lifetime of the funhouse. 21 of them are the regular playable toys, 2 of them are npcs, and 6 of them are the mini-toys, who each are paired up with a respective regular toy. one of the mini toys were discontinued/retconned.
my tbfh fandom experience
i don't want to brag here i just genuinely want to share something that has made me overjoyed LOL
i'm updating this, because apparently it's ACTUALLY CANON NOW. anyway— when i found tbfh and started drawing andy i drew him with facial hair (and eventually arm/some chest hair), and it kinda just started spreading around..i of course can't definitively say THIS IS A THING I DID because. well i mean it just fits him, i wouldn't be surprised, but HEY IT'S ACTUALLY CANON NOW!! i freaked the fuck out when the new 2d render was shown in a video and.. yeah!

i really like andy by the way. he's my favorite— he also canonically has a toothgap now which i also drew him with but i mean eh. again it just fits him. i'd love to say i did it (as the self proclaimed #1 andy fan) but y'know, that'd be kinda silly

how have i contributed to the economy
the header's a silly thing ignore that. i love making fanart for tbfh... the community has really been thriving too and it's awesome to see what people can make out of it. a few months back i started writing a suncrisp fic, but i never really finished it... thing is, i'm gonna try making it into a visual novel now LOL. no options or anything, 'cause i just don't feel it's the kind of thing for that, but it's a much easier way for me to write out the story. so i guess i can say i'm the first person to make a tbfh visual novel?? lol?? (not out yet, still wip) you can find all my tbfh fanart here!
